Minecraft Bedrock Edition

Minecraft, the beloved sandbox game, offers a rich multiplayer experience where players can connect, collaborate, and explore together. With the advent of crossplay functionality, players can now join servers and play with friends on different platforms. While Minecraft Pocket Edition (PE) is primarily designed for mobile devices, it is possible to join PE servers on a PC. In this article, we will explore how to unlock crossplay and join Minecraft PE servers on PC.

  1. Ensure Compatibility:

Before attempting to join Minecraft PE servers on your PC, it's essential to ensure compatibility between the PE version and your PC platform. Follow these steps:

    a. Check System Requirements: Verify that your PC meets the minimum system requirements for running Minecraft PE. Visit the official Minecraft website or the Microsoft Store (for Windows 10) to find the recommended specifications.

    b. Windows 10 Edition: Minecraft PE, also known as Bedrock Edition, is available for Windows 10 PCs. Ensure that your PC is running Windows 10, as this version supports crossplay with mobile devices.

  2. Install Minecraft PE (Bedrock Edition) on PC:

To join Minecraft PE servers on your PC, you need to install the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft. Here's how:

    a. Open the Microsoft Store: On your Windows 10 PC, open the Microsoft Store application.

    b. Search for Minecraft: In the search bar, type "Minecraft" and select "Minecraft for Windows 10" from the search results.

    c. Install the Game: Click on the "Install" button to download and install Minecraft Bedrock Edition on your PC.

  3. Launch Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PC:

Once Minecraft Bedrock Edition is installed on your PC, follow these steps to launch the game:

    a. Open the Start Menu: Click on the Start button in the bottom-left corner of your screen to open the Start Menu.

    b. Search for Minecraft: In the search bar, type "Minecraft" and select the Minecraft Bedrock Edition app from the search results.

    c. Launch the Game: Click on the Minecraft Bedrock Edition app to launch the game on your PC.

  4. Sign in with Microsoft Account:

To access crossplay functionality and join Minecraft PE servers, you need to sign in with a Microsoft account associated with your Xbox Live account. Here's how:

    a. Launch Minecraft Bedrock Edition: Once the game is launched, you will be prompted to sign in. Click on the "Sign In" button.

    b. Sign in with Microsoft Account: Enter the email address and password associated with your Microsoft account. If you don't have a Microsoft account, you can create one for free.

    c. Complete the Sign-In Process: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the sign-in process. This will associate your Microsoft account with Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

  5. Join Minecraft PE Servers on PC:

With Minecraft Bedrock Edition installed and your Microsoft account signed in, you can now join Minecraft PE servers on your PC. Follow these steps:

    a. Click on "Play": Once you are signed in, click on the "Play" button on the Minecraft Bedrock Edition main menu.

    b. Select "Servers": In the Play menu, select the "Servers" tab.

    c. Add a Server: Click on the "Add Server" button and enter the IP address or server name of the Minecraft PE server you wish to join. Ensure that the server supports crossplay and allows connections from PC players.

    d. Join the Server: After adding the server details, click on the server to join and start playing with other players on the Minecraft PE server.

  6. Server Compatibility and Crossplay Limitations:

It's important to note that not all Minecraft PE servers may be compatible with PC players. Some servers may restrict crossplay or have specific requirements for joining from different platforms. Ensure that the server you wish to join explicitly supports crossplay and allows connections from Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PC.

Joining Minecraft PE servers on your PC opens up a world of crossplay possibilities, allowing you to connect and play with friends on mobile devices. By installing Minecraft Bedrock Edition from the Microsoft Store, signing in with your Microsoft account, and following the steps to join PE servers on your PC, you can experience the collaborative and immersive gameplay that Minecraft has to offer, regardless of the platform you're playing on. Embrace the power of crossplay and enjoy the adventures that await in the vast Minecraft universe.
